About
Life goes by every day as we pursue our futures, take care of our families and manage our relationships. Do we ever stop and listen to our inner needs? In preparation for the challenges ahead of us in the new year, how can we take better care of ourselves?
We are at the height of indulgence at this time of year, whether it is Christmas feasts, Chinese New Year treats, Nian Gao, Turnip cakes... Do you overeat over the holidays, only to regret it later? Or do you always want to eat healthy, but find yourself rushing through your meals, not paying attention to what you're eating? You may even end up with stomach cramps.
Mindful eating helps us to choose our food more consciously and wisely. It also allows us to fully savor and enjoy the food choices we make. According to research, taking an 8-week mindful eating course can even help us lose weight. Amanda is not only a clinical psychologist and mindfulness teacher, but also a certified teacher of Mindfulness-based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT). We invite you to prepare water and snacks (such as chips, nuts, chocolates, candies etc), and experience mindful eating with us in this online group practice. Start turning every bite we take into an act of self-care. (If you would have dinner before the practice, please do not make yourself too full; If you'd like to have dinner during the practice, please prepare a light one.) We welcome anyone who is interested in using mindfulness to take care of themselves.
The event will be held in Cantonese.
